Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Superintendent / Project Manager to oversee complex residential construction projects throughout the Greater Boston area. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving projects from preconstruction and mobilization through final turnover while maintaining exceptional standards for quality, safety, schedule, and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is an experienced field leader who thrives in challenging urban construction environments and has a proven track record managing multifamily, luxury residential, and historic renovation projects. You'll oversee day-to-day jobsite operations, coordinate subcontractors, solve construction challenges before they impact progress, and ensure every project is delivered successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all field operations for multiple active residential construction projects throughout the Boston area
  • Manage projects from mobilization through punch list completion and final closeout
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain master schedules, look-ahead plans, and project sequencing
  • Monitor project progress to ensure schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are achieved
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily reports, project documentation, and closeout packages
  • Conduct subcontractor meetings, progress walks, quality inspections, and coordination meetings
  • Coordinate inspections, utility work, deliveries, site logistics, and permitting requirements
  • Anticipate and resolve field issues involving existing conditions, design conflicts, material delays, and subcontractor performance
  • Maintain exceptional quality standards throughout structural work and architectural finishes
  • Enforce OSHA standards and company safety procedures while maintaining organized, professional jobsites
  • Provide regular project updates to ownership, clients, architects, and internal leadership
  • Drive punch-list completion and ensure seamless project turnover
  • 15+ years of construction experience with progressively increasing project leadership responsibilities
  • 10+ years managing residential construction projects in the Boston market
  • Strong experience with ground-up multifamily construction, luxury residential projects, and major renovations
  • Experience working on historic brownstones or older residential structures preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of Boston permitting processes, inspections, urban site logistics, and local subcontractor markets
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining schedule, quality, and budget expectations
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and project documentation
  • Experience with Procore, Buildertrend, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Excel, or similar construction management software
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Competitive salary of $120,000–$160,000, based on experience
