Sr. Sys Admin - Linux with Security Clearance

• Security+ Cert
• 15 years of experience as a System Administrator
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• 5 additional years of experience as a System Administrator may be substituted for a degree Job Description:
• The System Administrator shall be responsible for providing support for a large-scale Linux system including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the compute, network, memory, and storage system components.
• In addition, the System Administrator shall maintain the system security integrity and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Required Experience

• Experience using the Linux CLI
• Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
• Experience in performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux cluster environment
• General technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system components
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solution
• Familiarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big data
• Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution
• Experience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environments
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible
• Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures
• Experience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and Nagios
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker Desired Experience:
• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Experience with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS
• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence Salary: $235,000 - $245,000 annually ---------- Excellent benefits package including 25 days PTO, 11 paid holidays, 100% employer-paid healthcare for employees and dependents - available day 1, 8% 401(k) employer match - immediate vesting.
