About the Role: 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize mission-critical enterprise infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy management, cloud migration initiatives (AWS and Azure), endpoint management, backup solutions, virtualization platforms, and enterprise troubleshooting. This role requires the ability to support critical business systems, participate in on-call rotations, and work collaboratively in a hybrid environment. 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

Critical Infrastructure Management 

  • Manage, maintain, and support critical enterprise infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, security, and reliability. 

  • Monitor and respond to infrastructure incidents affecting business-critical systems and services. 

  • Develop and implement strategies for infrastructure resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity. 

  • Perform capacity planning, risk assessments, and infrastructure optimization initiatives.

Infrastructure Management 

  • Design, deploy, and support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and File Services. 

  • Manage and optimize Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for security hardening, user configuration, software deployment, and compliance requirements. 

  • Perform system upgrades, patch management, and lifecycle management across enterprise environments. 

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and implement corrective actions. 

Cloud Migration & Administration 

  • Lead and support cloud migration projects involving AWS and Microsoft Azure. 

  • Plan, design, and execute migrations of servers, applications, and workloads from on-premises environments to cloud platforms. 

  • Implement cloud security best practices, identity management, and hybrid infrastructure solutions. 

  • Manage cloud resources, storage, networking, and virtual machine environments. 

Endpoint Management & Automation 

  • Administer IBM BigFix for patch management, software deployment, compliance reporting, and endpoint remediation. 

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and other scripting technologies. 

  • Ensure endpoint security, compliance, and operational efficiency across the enterprise. 

Backup, Recovery & Data Protection 

  • Manage and support Cohesity backup and recovery solutions. 

  • Develop disaster recovery procedures and perform regular backup validation and recovery testing. 

  • Ensure business continuity through effective backup and retention strategies.

Virtualization & Hyperconverged Infrastructure 

  • Administer Nutanix infrastructure, including cluster management, storage optimization, and performance monitoring. 

  • Support virtualized environments and ensure high availability and reliability of enterprise systems. 

  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to maintain scalable and resilient platforms. 

Troubleshooting & Support 

  • Provide Tier III/IV support for complex infrastructure, server, networking, and cloud-related issues. 

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions. 

  • Work closely with security, networking, application, and operations teams to resolve critical incidents. 

  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for critical systems and infrastructure issues as needed. 

Work Environment & Availability 

  • Hybrid work schedule requiring a minimum of two (2) days per week onsite. 

  • Must be available to participate in scheduled on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents outside normal business hours. 

  • Ability to work during maintenance of windows, system upgrades, and emergency situations when required. 

Required Professional Skills: 

  • Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 

  • 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer. 

  • Expert-level experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management. 

  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud services and migration projects. 

  • Strong experience with IBM BigFix administration and patch management. 

  • Experience managing Cohesity backup and recovery solutions. 

  • Experience supporting Nutanix infrastructure and virtualization environments. 

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills across Windows Server, networking, storage, and cloud technologies. 

  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation. 

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and system hardening. 

Preferred Professional Skills: 

  • Microsoft, AWS, Azure, Nutanix, BigFix, or related certifications. 

  • Experience with Microsoft Defender, Intune, SCCM/MECM, and enterprise security tools. 

  • Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies. 

  • Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical enterprise environments. 

  • Experience in healthcare, government, or other highly regulated industries.

Education/Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 

  • 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer.
