Job Description

Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Meppen, Germany | Hybrid This employer is hiring for a key role in the energy sector, contributing directly to the energy transition and climate protection goals. They are looking for a dedicated professional to join their High Voltage / Substations business unit and play a vital part in energizing new and modernized substations across northeastern Germany. The Role • Oversee the commissioning of medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations, including specialized connection systems for renewable energy. • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control systems, collaborating with internal expert teams to drive improvements. • Program and parameterize high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers such as Siemens, Schneider, and ABB. • Utilize modern testing equipment from manufacturers like OMICRON to precisely commission digital protection and control technology. • Collaborate effectively with site and project management, planning, and assembly teams. • Actively contribute to energy transmission and distribution projects, including grid connections for industrial, wind, and solar parks. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering. • Proven affinity and expertise in protection or control technology; experience in commissioning switchgear is preferred. • Familiarity with communication standards such as IEC 60870-5-101/103/104. • Experience with parameterization software like Siemens DIGSI 4/5 and Schneider MICOM S1, and testing software like OMICROM TestUniverse is advantageous. • Strong team player with a willingness to take responsibility, excellent decision-making and communication skills, and strong German language proficiency. • Possess a valid Class B driver's license and be willing to travel regularly within northeastern Germany.
