Job Description

Project Coordinator

Pay: £14.00 per hour
Location: Rugeley (WS15)
Hours: 2530 hours per week (flexible)
Contract: Temporary contract until January/February 2027


A well-established specialist contractor delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions across Britain is seeking an organised and proactive Project Coordinator to join its growing team.


Working within the water and environmental sectors, you will play a key role in coordinating a busy maintenance team, ensuring projects and planned works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational and communication skills who enjoys coordinating operations, managing schedules and supporting teams within a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of a field maintenance team.

  • Programme and schedule works to ensure efficient delivery and minimise travel time.

  • Prepare and issue weekly work packages for maintenance teams.

  • Book accommodation and support logistical planning where required.

  • Produce quotations and support commercial processes.

  • Prepare Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS) and Safe Systems of Work.

  • Liaise with clients to provide updates and ensure expectations are met.

  • Support with report writing and project documentation.

  • Liaise with the accounts department regarding invoicing.

  • Check invoices against purchase orders.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure administrative processes are completed effectively.


Requirements
  • Previous experience in a coordination, scheduling or administration role.

  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to plan and programme work logically and efficiently.

  • Understanding of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Safe Systems of Work.

  • Experience liaising with clients and internal teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.

  • Experience within the water industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
