Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead all accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, compliance, and treasury functions. This role will oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, drive financial performance through analytics and budgeting, strengthen internal controls, and partner with executive leadership on strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, ERP implementation experience, and expertise in financial reporting, cost accounting, and operational finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and ensure timely delivery of financial statements.
  • Prepare and analyze consolidated financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Lead general ledger management, account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and inventory controls.
  • Develop and maintain cost accounting structures to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Create, monitor, and report on budgets, forecasts, and key financial performance indicators.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to leadership.
  • Lead ERP implementation, optimization, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, collections, and cash management functions.
  • Manage banking relationships, debt reconciliations, and intercompany allocations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, licenses, contracts, leases, insurance requirements, and regulatory reporting.
  • Coordinate external audits and prepare supporting documentation.
  • Partner with operational leaders to develop P&L reporting for business units, projects, and locations.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support executive leadership with financial planning, capital strategies, acquisitions, growth initiatives, and investment decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience with cost accounting and operational finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Experience leading ERP implementation projects.
  • Manufacturing, construction, aggregates, mining, or industrial industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and audit coordination.
