• 24 months of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related field with exposure to IT and OT procurement. 

• 24 months of experience with the procurement lifecycle (sourcing, negotiation, contracting, purchasing). 

• 24 months of experience with IT (hardware, software, networking) and OT concepts as they related to transportation (traffic management, intelligent transportation systems) 

• 18 months of experience with communicating and coordinating with cross-functional teams (business, technical, security, vendor and procurement) articulating technical and business requirements clearly, both written and verbal. 

• 18 months of experience analyzing data, comparing proposals, and identifying trends. 

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field

Detailed Job Description: This resource will act as a Junior IT Specialist for the DOT Transportation Safety Management and Operations (TSMO) Technology Program to support the procurement activities for Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) related to transportation systems management and operations. This role involves assisting in the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of hardware, software, services, and maintenance agreements necessary for the efficient and effective operation of transportation infrastructure. The specialist will work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and the procurement team to ensure compliance with company policies, budget constraints, and project timelines.
