Job Description

We are looking for an experienced People Advisor to join a busy HR team on a maternity cover contract for 12 months for a financial company in Southend.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with HR experience who enjoys supporting employees and managers, building positive working relationships, and helping to create a great workplace culture. You will provide HR support across the employee lifecycle, offering practical advice and guidance while ensuring policies and processes are followed effectively.

Key Details
  • 12 month FTC
  • 09:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday
  • Starting salary between 30-35k
  • Hybrid working options
  • 31 days annual leave including bank holidays

Responsibilities
  • Manage employee relations cases, providing advice and guidance to managers
  • Support HR administration and maintain accurate employee records
  • Produce and analyse HR management information reports
  • Review and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Assist with recruitment activities and onboarding new employees
  • Support payroll administration processes
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience & Skills Required
  • Previous experience working within an HR role
  • Good understanding of employment law and HR best practice
  • Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Experience managing employee relations cases
  • Experience using HR systems
