Job Description
We are looking for an experienced People Advisor to join a busy HR team on a maternity cover contract for 12 months for a financial company in Southend.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with HR experience who enjoys supporting employees and managers, building positive working relationships, and helping to create a great workplace culture. You will provide HR support across the employee lifecycle, offering practical advice and guidance while ensuring policies and processes are followed effectively.

Key Details
- 12 month FTC
- 09:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday
- Starting salary between 30-35k
- Hybrid working options
- 31 days annual leave including bank holidays
- Excellent benefits package including pension and health cash plan
- Manage employee relations cases, providing advice and guidance to managers
- Support HR administration and maintain accurate employee records
- Produce and analyse HR management information reports
- Review and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance
- Assist with recruitment activities and onboarding new employees
- Support payroll administration processes
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Previous experience working within an HR role
- Good understanding of employment law and HR best practice
- Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Experience managing employee relations cases
- Experience using HR systems
