Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Cloud & Windows Administrator with 10+ years of hands-on enterprise infrastructure experience to manage and optimize hybrid cloud, Windows, virtualization, and modern infrastructure environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience across Microsoft Azure, AWS, Windows Server, VMware, automation, Infrastructure as Code, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365. This role will also support modernization initiatives involving AIOps, automation, containers, DevOps/DevSecOps, and AI-driven infrastructure operations.
This is an on-site position in Washington, DC.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud environments.
- Manage virtual machines, networking, storage, identity, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Administer and support Windows Server environments.
- Develop automation using PowerShell and/or Python.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Manage and optimize VMware vSphere environments.
- Support containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory and enterprise identity services.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services including:
- Exchange Online
- SharePoint Online
- OneDrive for Business
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Work with Azure services including API Management, Front Door, Azure Virtual Desktop, Application Proxy, and Data Gateway.
- Implement server patching, upgrades, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation.
- Monitor infrastructure using tools such as Splunk and Azure Monitor.
- Apply AIOps concepts for proactive monitoring, anomaly detection, predictive analysis, and automated incident response.
- Design, implement, and test Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions.
- Support hybrid cloud connectivity, security groups, load balancing, and modern networking architectures.
- Collaborate with development and security teams within DevOps/DevSecOps environments.
- Support CI/CD automation and infrastructure deployment pipelines.
- Troubleshoot complex production infrastructure issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Collaborate with data science teams on intelligent agents, machine learning, and AI-driven infrastructure optimization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on enterprise systems administration or related infrastructure experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
- Strong Windows Server administration experience.
- Strong experience with PowerShell and/or Python scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure and networking.
- Experience with server patching, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
- Familiarity with Splunk, Azure Monitor, and AIOps concepts.
- Understanding of security, identity, access management, encryption, and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with infrastructure, development, security, and data teams.

- Experience with Azure API Management.
- Experience with Azure Front Door.
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Experience with Azure Application Proxy.
- Experience with Azure Data Gateway.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps/DevSecOps.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and intelligent agents.
- Experience applying AI/ML capabilities to infrastructure operations.
- Azure Administrator Associate certification.
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator certification.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
