Job Description

Role highlights

Your high-level duties will include
  • Design, develop and adapt high-quality STEM education resources, including digital learning content, aligned with curriculum frameworks and learning outcomes.
  • Apply instructional design, educational theory and curriculum knowledge to create engaging, accessible and evidence-based learning materials.
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts, educators, vendors and internal program teams to ensure resources are relevant, engaging and beneficial for end users.
  • Conduct quality assurance of resources and support improvements in line with CSIRO Education and Outreach quality standards.
  • Coordinate multiple resource development projects, manage competing priorities and contribute to continuous improvement of team processes.
Location and office arrangements

Sydney (Marsfield), Melbourne (Clayton), Brisbane

Salary

CSOF4 - AU$100,103 to AU$113,251 per annum, pro rated for part time, plus up to 15.4% superannuation

Tenure & work schedule

Specified Term of 6 months. Full-time or part-time arrangements may be considered.

As the successful candidate, you will bring
  • Expertise in instructional design, adult learning, educational theory or pedagogy.
  • Strong curriculum knowledge, with experience aligning educational resources to learning outcomes.
  • Basic to intermediate visual design skills to support effective and engaging educational content.
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative conversations across multiple programs to co develop resources.
  • Proficiency in STEM education principles, particularly science inquiry and resource development.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practice in educational content, or a willingness to upskill.
  • Experience developing resources with Indigenous Knowledges, science and inquiry.
  • Experience in design thinking, storyboarding, narrative-based learning design, eLearning development or digital education platforms.
  • Project or production management experience, including coordinating educational content, stakeholders or vendors.
