Job Description

BIM Coordinator - Melbourne

We are looking for an exceptional BIM Coordinator to streamline our fast paced, complex data centre projects. You will support design teams in delivering projects and complying with BIM requirements with the assistance of an established BIM team. Additionally, you will help develop our BIM standards, libraries and templates.

You will be a key member of our BIM team, a group of passionate and talented individuals and design technology enthusiasts that speak your language. We value creativity, talent, and results, but never politics.

Responsibilities

You will be working in a tight knit BIM team and a broader team of skilled Revit users, to streamline and perfect processes, troubleshoot workflows and identify parts of the BIM system that are outdated and need improvement. You will be an instrumental part of a highly technical team.

Your Day to Day Responsibilities Will Include
  • Set up project models
  • Provide technical Revit support to the project team
  • Develop and maintain BIM execution plans
  • Ensure project BIM requirements are met
  • Ensure BIM standards and best practices are followed
  • Optimise and automate project BIM workflows
  • Audit and clean up project models
  • Create and fix Revit families
  • Populate asset data to model components
  • Provide training to individuals and project teams
  • Identify BIM opportunities and improvements to standards
  • Develop Revit templates and libraries
  • Document BIM processes and workflows

Required Skills
  • Architectural or engineering background
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in large scale project delivery with Revit
  • Strong knowledge of building design and construction
  • Strong knowledge of the BIM methodology
  • Mastery of Autodesk Revit and ACC/Forma
  • A keen interest in digital tools and ability to pick up new ones quickly
  • Ability to document BIM processes and explain them in simple terms
Other Beneficial Skills
  • Navisworks, Revizto and the IFC format
  • AutoCAD and Rhinoceros / Grasshopper
  • Dynamo, the Revit API and programming
  • Classification standards such as Uniclass or COBie
  • Project management platforms such as Procore or Aconex
