The Role • Provide essential overnight support to young people in children's homes, addressing their social, emotional, and mental health needs. • Offer comfort and understanding during difficult moments, such as waking in the night due to trauma, illness, or distress. • Build rapport and trust with young people, becoming a reliable figure in their time of need. • Undertake essential household tasks during quieter periods, including paperwork, cleaning, and laundry. • Focus on recognizing each young person's individual needs, personality, and potential to guide them toward a positive future. • Contribute to creating positive and lasting changes in the lives of vulnerable young people. What You'll Need • A genuine desire to care for young people and contribute to their well-being. • Honesty, empathy, and resilience to manage challenging situations effectively. • A "can-do" attitude and a willingness to be a supportive team player. • A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months. • Willingness to undertake a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare if not already held (training provided). • Ability to commit to a waking nights schedule (4 on, 4 off).
