Salary range: $76,907 to $88,043 per annum + 13.5% superannuation.

About the role

The City of Hobart is transforming the way we work, collaborate and deliver services to our community. We are seeking a Collaboration Platform Administrator to help shape and support our modern digital workplace.

In this role, you will administer and enhance our Microsoft 365 collaboration environment, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and Power Platform solutions. You will work closely with employees across the organisation, providing technical support, enabling adoption of modern tools and helping teams embrace smarter, more connected ways of working.

You will play an important role in supporting cloud migration activities, improving business processes through automation and digital solutions, and helping drive the responsible adoption of AI-enabled technologies such as Microsoft Copilot.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Supporting and administering Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms, including SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive.
  • Providing responsive technical support and troubleshooting for users across the organisation.
  • Supporting cloud migration projects and improving information management practices.
  • Developing training resources and helping employees adopt modern digital tools and ways of working.
  • Supporting automation, digital forms, workflow improvements and AI-enabled solutions.

You are a customer-focused technology professional who enjoys helping people get the most from digital tools and platforms. You combine strong technical capability with excellent communication skills and can explain complex concepts in a practical, user-friendly way.

You will bring experience supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies, along with an understanding of information governance, security and modern workplace practices. You enjoy solving problems, building relationships and continuously improving services and user experiences.

Most importantly, you are passionate about helping organisations embrace innovation, collaboration and smarter ways of working.
