We are looking for a Principal Automation Deployment Engineer to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to Senior Manager, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and based in Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy automated manufacturing and assembly equipment.
- Develop specifications, review designs, and manage suppliers for custom automation projects.
- Program and integrate PLCs, robotics, motion systems, and machine vision solutions.
- Ensure seamless equipment integration with MES and data systems.
- Lead FAT/SAT, equipment validation, and production handover.
- Drive process optimization and standardization across manufacturing lines.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 7+ years' experience in equipment design and manufacturing automation.
- Proficiency in 3D design (SolidWorks or equivalent) and preferably PLC/HMI programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.).
- Proven experience completing automation projects from ideation to machine design, execution, commissioning, and production release.
- Extensive experience with robotics, motion control, pneumatics, and machine vision systems.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and manage vendor interactions.

Salary Ranges:
$127,900.00 - $184,100.00
