This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile residential, commercial and major infrastructure developments, delivering innovative highway and drainage solutions from concept through to construction.

The Role As a key member of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll take ownership of the design and delivery of highway and drainage schemes across a varied project portfolio. You'll work closely with clients, local authorities and fellow engineers to develop practical, sustainable and technically robust solutions that make a real impact.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking responsibility, building client relationships and contributing to projects from initial design through to successful delivery.
Responsibilities • Deliver highway and drainage designs for a wide variety of development and infrastructure projects.<br />• Design and manage S278, S38, S104 and S185 schemes.<br />• Produce technical reports, calculations, specifications and detailed engineering drawings.<br />• Design sustainable drainage (SuDS) and development infrastructure solutions.<br />• Ensure designs comply with DMRB, Building Regulations, Sewers for Adoption and relevant local authority standards.<br />• Liaise with clients, statutory authorities and multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle.<br />• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring programmes, budgets and quality standards are achieved.<br />• Support technical reviews, quality assurance and risk management activities.<br />• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the ongoing development of the wider team.
About You You'll be a motivated Civil or Highway Engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and delivering high-quality infrastructure projects.<br />You'll ideally have: • A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).<br />• Experience in highway and drainage design within a consultancy environment.<br />• Experience delivering development infrastructure and Section 278, 38, 104 and 185 schemes.<br />• Knowledge of SuDS design and current UK design standards.<br />• Proficiency in AutoCAD together with Civil 3D, Site 3D or PDS.<br />• Experience using MicroDrainage (or equivalent drainage software).<br />• A good understanding of statutory approval processes and local authority requirements.<br />• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.<br />• Progress towards Chartered Engineer status (MICE/CIHT) or ambitions to achieve chartership.<br />• A full UK driving licence.
