Technical Writer

Position Summary

The organization is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to create and maintain authoritative technical documentation for internal cloud platform architectures, services, APIs, and operational processes. This role ensures documentation supports safe usage, operational consistency, and effective onboarding for application and operations teams. The Technical Writer will own documentation standards, structure, and lifecycle management to facilitate clear and accurate communication of technical information.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture guides, service descriptions, operational runbooks, onboarding materials, and API documentation.


• Ensure documentation aligns with platform tooling, automation workflows, and release standards.


• Maintain standards for documentation structure, quality, and lifecycle management.


• Collaborate directly with engineers, architects, and site reliability engineers to accurately capture technical content.


• Produce documentation that enables safe consumption, operational consistency, and streamlined onboarding processes for technical teams.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience producing technical documentation related to infrastructure, platforms, or developer-facing services.


• Proven ability to document architectures, APIs, automation workflows, operational runbooks, and onboarding guides.


• Working knowledge of Linux, cloud infrastructure concepts, virtualization, and DevOps terminology.


• Experience working closely with technical teams to gather and accurately capture detailed technical content.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in technical writing or information architecture.


• Over 5 years of experience documenting cloud platforms, PaaS, or internal developer platforms.


• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and virtualization platforms like VMware.


• Experience documenting self-service infrastructure or developer experiences.
