Job Description

Role: AWS Connect Engineer (Amazon Connect / Contact Flows / AWS Lambda / DynamoDB / Lex Bots / Telephony)
Location: Parsippany, NJ (Hybrid: Minimum 3 days/week on-site at customer location; potential requirement for 5 days/week on-site)
Duration: 6 Months (10/19/2026 – 04/19/2027)
Pay Rate: $85.00/hr On W2 | $100.00/hr On C2C

Role Summary
Seeking an experienced AWS Connect Engineer with 8–10+ years of enterprise IT experience for a 6-month contract in Parsippany, NJ (Hybrid / On-Site). 
The ideal candidate will possess deep, hands-on expertise in designing and deploying Amazon Connect contact flows, routing profiles, IVR/IVA conversational design, and Amazon Lex Bot integrations. 
Key responsibilities include building backend serverless integrations using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, and Kinesis, configuring telephony services (SIP, DIDs, PSTN), and deploying infrastructure via Terraform/CloudFormation within secure DevOps pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
* Amazon Connect Architecture & Workflows: Design, build, and optimize Amazon Connect contact flows, routing profiles, queue management, IVR/IVA conversational systems, and Amazon Lex Bot integrations.
* AWS Serverless & Data Pipeline Integration: Develop robust backend integrations using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, and Kinesis streaming for real-time call event logs and analytics.
* Telephony & CRM Systems Integration: Manage enterprise telephony configurations including PSTN, SIP, DIDs, call routing, quality troubleshooting, and seamless integration of Amazon Connect with CRM platforms.
* DevOps, Security & Governance: Enforce security policies via AWS IAM, roles, and encryption while automating cloud deployments using Terraform or CloudFormation through CI/CD pipelines.
* Analytics, Reporting & Monitoring: Implement Contact Lens, sentiment analysis, CloudWatch Insights, and X-Ray debugging, supporting custom analytics reporting via Athena, Redshift, and QuickSight.

Required Skills
* Core Experience: 8–10+ years of IT engineering experience with specialized focus on AWS Cloud Computing and DevOps pipelines.
* Amazon Connect Mastery: Hands-on experience designing Amazon Connect contact flows, routing profiles, and IVR/Lex Bot conversational flows.
* AWS Serverless Ecosystem: Proficient in AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch Logs, Kinesis, and API Gateway.
* Telephony & Telecommunications: Deep technical knowledge of PSTN, SIP, DIDs, call routing protocols, and call quality debugging.
* Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience deploying AWS resources using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
* On-Site Flexibility: Commitment to working on-site in Parsippany, NJ a minimum of 3 days per week (with full availability for 5 days per week if required).

Preferred Qualifications
* AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) or AWS Certified Developer Associate.
* Exposure to Contact Lens, sentiment analysis, AI/ML features, and WFM/WFO tools (Verint, NICE).
* Analytics and reporting expertise using Amazon Redshift, Athena, and QuickSight.
