Yard Operations

Who will you be working with?  L&M Radiator is a global designer, manufacturer, and distributor or MESABI cooling and heat transfer solutions that are custom-made for heavy equipment in the mining, oil, gas, construction and heavy industrial industries.

 

Where is the position located? This is a Permanent Full-time position at Welshpool, WA

 

How will you make a difference?  You will be supporting our production, dispatch and customer service team by ensuring goods and equipment are moved to its designated locations to ensure efficient and safe flow of goods. You will take initiative by ensuring the yard remains organised and tidy. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment and will hold a current forklift license. Reporting to the Production Manager.

 

What will your typical day look like?

Key Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and organize raw materials and finished manufactured goods using forklifts and manual handling.
• Yard Maintenance: Maintain an orderly and tidy yard by removing debris, organizing stock, and storing equipment securely.
• Logistics Support: Assist with inventory control, including conducting stock counts, receiving incoming materials, and preparing items for dispatch.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools, ensuring they are well-maintained.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to Environmental Work Health and Safety regulations, protocols and procedures.
• Communication: Coordinate with truck drivers, production staff, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

What do we want to know about you? 

Requirements

• Valid LF Forklift Licence
• Previous experience as a Yard Hand, Store person, or General Labourer in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials (often up to 20 kg and walking/standing for long periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate stock recording and safety.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Desirable:

• Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.
• Familiarity with radiator or automotive parts handling.
