Most .NET roles in financial services aren't actually Front Office.

This one is.

A leading global trading company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a team building and enhancing the systems used directly by Front Office Credit & Fixed Income teams. These are business-critical applications where performance, reliability and speed genuinely matter.

If your background has mainly been Middle Office, Back Office, regulatory, finance, settlements or operational systems, this probably isn't the right fit.

Likewise, if you've spent the last few years focused on React, Angular, Blazor or other UI-heavy development, this isn't where you'll play to your strengths.

What you'll be working on

You'll be designing and building high-performance Back End applications that support Front Office trading activity. The work is technically challenging, giving you the opportunity to influence architecture, improve existing platforms and develop new functionality alongside experienced engineers and business stakeholders.

You'll be working with:

• Modern C#/.NET
• SQL Server
• AWS cloud technologies
• Distributed, business-critical systems
• Front Office trading teams

What they're looking for

This role is aimed at engineers who understand the demands of Front Office technology.

You'll ideally have:

• Strong commercial experience with modern C#/.NET
• Excellent SQL skills
• Experience developing cloud-based applications (AWS preferred)
• A Back End engineering background rather than primarily UI development
• Direct experience building technology for Front Office trading teams within investment banks, brokerages, exchanges or trading firms

Front Office experience is the key requirement. This isn't a role for someone looking to move across from middle or Back Office applications-it's looking for someone who's already operated in that environment.
