Code Compliance: Apply building code provisions and engineering principles to the design of traditional steel and concrete structures.
Lateral Systems: Develop expertise in lateral analysis and design (wind and seismic loads) in accordance with current US building standards.

Quality Control & Coordination
Model Coordination: Work closely with structural designers to ensure design criteria and structural requirements are accurately communicated on construction drawings and in the model.
Self-Checking & Peer Review: Exhibit a high level of attention to detail by thoroughly checking your own work and performing calculation checks for fellow engineers.
Multi-Disciplinary Integration: Coordinate structural designs with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.

Project Ownership & Management
Workload Accountability: Take complete ownership of your assigned portion of the structural scope, reliably managing time to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Scope Tracking: Identify scope changes, forecast levels of effort, and communicate proactively with your structural lead when project adjustments arise.
Field Support: Conduct periodic site/field walks as needed to support project execution and facility evaluations.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications

Certifications: Active Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
Experience Baseline: Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
Technical Mastery:
oComprehensive working knowledge of US building codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
oStrong foundation in structural analysis principles, steel design, and reinforced concrete.
Core Competencies: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities; proactive self-starter with a high commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Working Conditions: Ability to perform occasional field walks (which may include climbing ladders, accessing raised floors, or standing/walking for extended periods).

Preferred Attributes
Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis) or a dedicated Master's in Structural Engineering.
Proficiency with industry-standard structural engineering analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, RAM, SAP2000), Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
Prior experience designing and analyzing structures for industrial, advanced technology, or commercial sectors.
