Protection Technician / Commissioning Technician for Substations | Oldenburg (Oldenburg), Germany | Hybrid This employer is seeking a skilled Protection Technician / Commissioning Technician for Substations to join their team. They are a significant player in the energy sector, contributing to the advancement of renewable energy projects and the broader energy transition. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on crucial infrastructure projects and make a tangible impact on the future of energy. The Role • Commissioning electrical components and complete renewal and new construction projects of substations for medium, high, and extra-high voltage, including special feed-in plants for renewable energies. • Analyzing and resolving faults in protection and control technology, collaborating with internal expert teams to drive improvements. • Programming and parameterizing high-tech protection and field control devices for high and medium voltage technology from leading brands. • Precisely commissioning digital protection and control technology using modern testing equipment. • Contributing to energy transmission and distribution projects, as well as grid connections for industrial, wind, and solar parks. • Collaborating effectively with project management, planning, and installation teams. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering. • Demonstrated affinity and expertise in protection/control technology. • Prior experience in commissioning switchgear, adhering to communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Familiarity with parameterizing software (e.g., Siemens DIGSI, Schneider MICOM S1) and testing software (e.g., OMICROM Test Universe). • Strong team player with a willingness to take responsibility, excellent communication skills in German, and a professional demeanor. • Valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel within Northeast Germany during weekdays.
