The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks as part of daily logistics operations. • Perform essential pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate container movement and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures. • Drive hostler vehicles to strategically position containers and chassis within the yard. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Strong commitment to safety standards and a keen attention to detail. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team. • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, physical, and drug screenings.
