15+ JAVA J2EE ARCHITECT - BOSTON, MA

Location:  Boston (Onsite 3 days a week at the US client location)- (No remote work).

•             10 to 12 years of hands-on development experience and experience in providing solutions to complex business functions

•             Strong background in both development and architecture, particularly with the following skill sets:

o             Core Java

o             Web Application Development (ReactJS)

o             J2EE

o             Oracle

o             Unix, Shell Scripting

o             Web Services

o             AWS

o             Databricks

o             Securities Lending (Banking domain expertise)

Key Responsibilities:

•             Expertise in cloud-based application design and architecture, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance optimization in AWS

•             Hands-on experience with Databricks, particularly in data-driven cloud applications

•             Ability to visualize the entire application landscape and guide the technical team in aligning architecture with business goals

•             Proactively track and resolve technical impediments to ensure timely project completion

•             In-depth understanding of the Securities Lending domain, including its processes, technologies, and solutions within the banking/financial services industry

•             Strong leadership and mentoring skills, driving results in collaborative team environments

•             Excellent communication skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Detailed Skill Set:

•             Core Java:

o             Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Concepts (Inheritance, Abstraction, Interfaces)

o             In-depth knowledge of the JVM and Java environment

o             Strong expertise in Java language

•             Web Application Development:

o             Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, AJAX

o             In-depth understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols

o             Proficient in DOM, with experience designing UI with CSS

•             Enterprise Java:

o             Strong experience in developing J2EE applications using concepts like Distributed Transactional Computing

o             Expertise in N-tier architecture and container services

o             Familiar with EJB, JMS, Security, Transaction, JNDI, and Connectors

o             Experience with MVC frameworks such as Struts, Spring MVC

o             ORM/Persistence frameworks like JPA, Hibernate

•             Oracle:

o             Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts

o             Expertise in SQL

•             AWS:

o             Proficiency in AWS architecture, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and other AWS services

o             Ability to design and implement cloud solutions for scalability, performance, and security

•             Databricks:

o             Experience working with Databricks for big data analytics and cloud-based data engineering solutions

o             Familiarity with Apache Spark and Databricks notebooks for data processing and machine learning

•             Banking (Securities Lending):

o             Solid understanding of Securities Lending operations, including trade execution, collateral management, and risk management within financial institutions

o             Experience in building solutions that integrate with banking systems and financial products in the Securities Lending domain
