Role: AI Solutions Architect – Mortgage Technology

Location: Remote

Contract - 6 Month Contract to Hire 

We’re assisting a leading mortgage technology solutions company in hiring a hands-on AI Solutions Architect to shape and execute its enterprise AI strategy.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a technology leader who can move seamlessly between AI strategy, enterprise architecture, executive discussions, and hands-on engineering.

🔥 What You’ll Do

• Assess technology, data, products, and workflows to identify high-value AI opportunities
• Define and execute an enterprise AI strategy and implementation roadmap
• Lead hands-on AI/GenAI/LLM prototypes, POCs, and production implementations
• Design solutions using RAG, vector search, intelligent document processing, prompt orchestration, model evaluation, and AI observability
• Evaluate foundation models, AI platforms, third-party solutions, and cloud services
• Establish AI governance covering security, privacy, accuracy, explainability, responsible AI, and regulatory requirements
• Define scalable architecture across Java, Spring Boot, Angular, AWS, APIs, data platforms, and AI services
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on guidance to engineering teams
• Identify AI opportunities across mortgage data, loan-level analysis, due diligence, risk management, quality control, exception management, and reporting

🛠️ Must-Have Skills

✅ 12–15+ years of software engineering / architecture experience
✅ 2–3+ years of recent hands-on AI implementation experience
✅ Strong Mortgage Technology / Capital Markets domain expertise
✅ Deep hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, AWS, REST APIs, distributed systems, and microservices
✅ Enterprise AI / ML / Generative AI / LLM integration experience
✅ Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, data quality, integration, normalization, and governance
✅ Experience building secure, scalable cloud-native applications on AWS
✅ Strong architectural leadership combined with the ability to remain hands-on
✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
