The Role • Operate heavy machinery to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive specialized equipment like hostlers to maneuver containers within the intermodal yard. • Utilize top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes for stacking, moving, and organizing containers. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate logistical tasks effectively. • Adhere to established protocols to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is required for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • A strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
