Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead and facilitate Agile Release Trains (ARTs) using the SAFe Agile Framework. The ideal candidate will be a servant leader with extensive experience coordinating multiple Agile teams, managing program dependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery of large-scale enterprise initiatives.
This role requires exceptional stakeholder management, Agile coaching, and program execution skills while working closely with Product Management, Architects, Business Owners, and Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
- Coordinate multiple Agile teams within the Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Identify, track, and resolve cross-team dependencies, risks, and impediments.
- Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams on SAFe principles and best practices.
- Monitor ART health using Agile metrics including Velocity, Predictability, Burn-up/Burn-down, and Flow Metrics.
- Partner with Product Management, Business Owners, Solution Architects, and stakeholders to align delivery with business priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Agile teams and delivery processes.
- Prepare executive-level status reports and communicate program progress, risks, and milestones.
- Support Agile governance, release planning, and enterprise delivery management.
Required Qualifications
- 11+ years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years of Agile Project or Program Management experience.
- Strong expertise in SAFe Agile Framework and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience facilitating PI Planning and Agile Release Train (ART) ceremonies.
- Experience managing program risks, dependencies, issues, and stakeholder communications.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience leading large-scale enterprise Agile transformation initiatives.
