Job Description
PWS Title: Principal Network Engineer Cyberspace Network Operations Location: Fort Bragg, NC Clearance Type: Top Secret Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior SETA IT and CNO subject matter expert supporting PMSP, providing independent assessments and recommendations across multiple programs.
- Represent user and customer needs in the development of architecture data, reference models, and architectural alternatives to support SOF mission requirements.
- Translate mission requirements into IT service needs, technical designs, and purchase request packages, assembling complete and accurate acquisition documentation.
- Proactively evaluate emerging services and technologies, conduct mission-focused impact and gap analyses, and recommend solutions to enhance mission support.
- Support planning and coordination of infrastructure strategic and long-range goals, management concepts, and business practices.
- Assist with analysis and execution of technical strategies to address changing DoD IT policies, reforms, and optimization efforts that impact operations.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, enterprise architecture, or cyberspace operations, including at least 5 years supporting DoD or SOF programs.
- Demonstrated experience providing objective, SETA-style analysis and recommendations to government program offices.
- Deep understanding of enterprise IT architectures, networked systems, and service-oriented designs supporting operational users.
- Strong background developing or supporting acquisition documentation such as purchase request packages and supporting technical artifacts.
- Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain any CI polygraph or clearance levels required by the Government.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting USSOCOM, USASOC, or other SOF organizations.
- Experience with DoD IT policy reforms, optimization initiatives, and cloud/network modernization efforts.
- Advanced degree and/or relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP, ITIL).
