StaffRight Associates is recruiting for a leading innovation pioneer in the aerospace and defense sector to identify a high-caliber Senior Computer Engineer. This strategic role is designed for a skilled engineering professional ready to drive the next generation of maritime sensing and communications technologies. Working at the intersection of embedded system design, signal processing, and prototype deployment, the selected candidate will spearhead critical research and development initiatives that shape complex underwater platforms. What You’ll Do

  • Architect and implement complex data handling infrastructures, advanced state machines, and customized signal processing algorithms across embedded prototype systems.

  • Lead laboratory integration, systematic troubleshooting, and real-world field evaluations to seamlessly interface hardware and software with larger electronic platforms.

  • Spearhead project leadership initiatives, guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams through the full research and development lifecycle.

  • Execute end-to-end workflows across programmable logic and processing units, authoring high-performance code and managing cross-domain interconnects.

  • Drive the design of specialized payloads, tracking arrays, wireless energy transfer units, and acoustic transceivers for maritime applications.

  • Formulate technical content, prospective product concepts, and strategic engineering writeups to support forward-looking business pursuits.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree, or PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

  • Demonstrated mastery in Embedded Systems Development, VHDL Programming, and FPGA Workflows.

  • Strong hands-on capabilities in C Programming, C++ Programming, and software compilation within a Linux Environment.

  • Core competency in Microcontrollers, Digital Signal Processors, System On Chips, and System On Modules.

  • Direct experience handling Userspace Driver Development, ADC Interfacing, and DAC Interfacing.

  • Proficient with digital bus and signaling standards including RS232, RS422, RS485, I2C, I2S, SPI, McBSP, CAN, LVDS, and LVPECL.

  • Practical working knowledge of Matlab Data Analysis, Signal Processing, Xilinx IDE, Vivado, AXI Protocols, and Custom IP Core Development.

  • Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation including Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Logic Analyzers, and Power Supplies.

  • Active capability to acquire and maintain a U.S. Department Of Defense Secret Security Clearance.

Compensation & Total Rewards

This position offers a base annual salary ranging from $140,000 to $190,000, supplemented by a premier benefits package, a generous 401(k) plan, and full relocation assistance. (Work location options include Groton, CT or Concord, MA).
