IT Manager Location: Greater Manchester (with travel to UK offices) Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent The Opportunity Reed Technology are delighted to be working with a growing, multi-site professional services organisation seeking an experienced IT Manager to take ownership of their internal IT function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive IT professional who enjoys combining hands-on technical support with strategic IT planning.

You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of business-critical systems, working closely with external IT partners and internal stakeholders to drive improvements, strengthen security, and enhance user experience across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related matters across the business.<br />Provide effective troubleshooting and technical support, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.<br />Collaborate with external IT support providers on infrastructure, cyber security, and technology projects.<br />Lead initiatives to develop and improve IT systems, processes, and policies.<br />Work with internal teams to establish and maintain best-practice IT standards and procedures.<br />Manage hardware inventory, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, renewal, and disposal of equipment.<br />Purchase, configure, and support laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and associated hardware.<br />Administer and manage software licensing across a range of business applications.<br />Evaluate new technologies and prepare business cases to support future investment and innovation.<br />Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders on IT performance, projects, and recommendations.Skills &amp; Experience Required Previous experience in an IT Manager, IT Lead, Senior IT Support, or similar position.<br />Strong knowledge of both Windows and MacOS environments.<br />Experience supporting Windows-based server infrastructure.<br />Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office applications.<br />Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.<br />Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.<br />Experience managing third-party IT suppliers and service providers.<br />Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.Desirable Experience Experience within a creative, architectural, engineering, consultancy, or professional services environment.<br />Knowledge of cyber security best practices and compliance standards.<br />Familiarity with BIM environments, FTP systems, ISO standards, or industry-specific technical frameworks.<br />Experience managing specialist software licensing and deployments.What's on Offer?
