About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Fleet Supervisor to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a designated shift, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of vehicles and drivers. You will play a key role in optimizing resource allocation and maximizing driver/vehicle productivity.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily shift operations: Monitor driver schedules, track vehicle locations, and respond to real-time issues such as traffic delays, accidents, or mechanical problems.
Manage driver assignments: Allocate drivers to appropriate routes, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and minimizing idle time.
Communicate effectively: Maintain clear and concise communication with drivers, operations management, and other company staff via phone, text and other communication channels.
Monitor driver performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, fuel efficiency, and safety records.
Maintain accurate records: Document all shift activities, including driver assignments, vehicle movements, and any incidents.
Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with other groups to ensure seamless operations.
Identify and implement process improvements: Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations: Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements, including DOT regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in a fast-paced transportation or logistics environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
Strong understanding of GPS tracking systems, dispatch software, and other relevant technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think quickly and decisively in high-pressure situations.
Proficiency in Gmail and the ability to pick up various apps and software as needed.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, especially Thursday-Sunday
Compensation:
$22hr
