Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree or equivalent technical education/study.
• 5+ years of ArcGIS for Desktop experience.
• 3+ years of experience editing and maintaining data in a GIS environment.
• 1+ year of Python or similar scripting experience.
• ArcPy knowledge is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support GIS-based data collection applications, including feature classes, related tables, map services, web mapping applications, testing, troubleshooting, and customer support.
• Support enterprise GIS implementations by developing and maintaining feature classes, web mapping applications, and metadata.
• Provide direct support for CADD/GIS software and hardware systems.
• Perform software testing, system maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Create dashboards using Power BI, GIS, and geospatial analytics tools.
• Assist with phone and online problem reporting and maintain issue/problem records.
• Maintain data backups and archives and perform data retrieval when required.
• Monitor system status and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to support GIS processes.
• Support ODOT Data Governance project activities as assigned.
• Develop data models and technical requirements specifications to support application development.
• Create and update technical documentation, manuals, and user guides based on business requirements.
• Translate business needs into effective GIS system solutions.
