Job Title: Staff Distribution Designer
Location: Kansas City, Missouri (On-Site)

Job Summary: We are presenting an opportunity for a technical distribution design professional to support complex utility projects from concept through construction. Our team is looking for someone who can develop detailed electrical distribution plans, produce high-quality project deliverables, and help drive technically sound outcomes on overhead and underground systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare distribution voltage packages for overhead and underground projects, including equipment installation, feeder replacement, cable replacement, and new feeder design.
• Prepare design sketches, cost estimates, bills of material, and other required project deliverables.
• Perform distribution calculations, including cable pulling, voltage drop, and pole loading calculations.
• Research project-related data and prepare communication materials related to vegetation management, third-party attachments, right-of-way, and outage planning.

Required:

• Experience supporting project teams on new projects, alterations, and redevelopments for utility distribution work.
• Strong knowledge of NESC standards and utility standards, guides, specifications, and procedures.
• Ability to work on 2.4kV to 34.5kV overhead and underground utility distribution projects.
• Experience preparing client presentations, reports, and visualizations to demonstrate technical results and project status.
