Job Title: Network Engineer Wi-Fi Configuration
Location: Bay Area , California
Type: Contract
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with hands-on experience in enterprise Wi-Fi configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing wireless network infrastructure across enterprise environments. This is a contract position based in the Bay Area, CA, supporting network deployment, upgrades, and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, deploy, and support enterprise wireless (Wi-Fi) networks.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot wireless access points (APs), controllers, and related networking equipment.
Perform Wi-Fi site surveys, signal optimization, and RF analysis.
Monitor wireless network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
Configure VLANs, SSIDs, authentication policies, and wireless security settings.
Support network upgrades, migrations, and hardware refresh projects.
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN and wireless network issues using network diagnostic tools.
Required Qualifications
3 7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer with strong Wi-Fi deployment and configuration experience.
Hands-on experience with enterprise wireless technologies.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting wireless controllers and access points.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching.
Experience with network monitoring and packet analysis tools such as Wireshark.
Knowledge of RF fundamentals, channel planning, and wireless security protocols (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X).
