Job Description

Cyber Security Lead

£60,000 | Fully Remote (England) | Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cyber Security professional to join a leading UK healthcare charity as its dedicated Cyber Security Lead. Reporting directly to the Head of IT, you'll take ownership of cyber security across the UK business, helping shape strategy, strengthen governance and ensure security remains at the heart of technology delivery.

This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic leadership with hands-on technical input. You'll work closely with infrastructure teams, global technology colleagues and third-party suppliers, providing assurance that security standards are being met while driving continuous improvement across policies, processes and cyber maturity. You'll have the autonomy to influence security across the organisation while working within an established environment that already has strong foundations in place.

If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely shape an organisation's cyber security approach, influence senior stakeholders and make a meaningful impact within a mission-led organisation, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cyber security across the UK business, driving governance, risk management and security best practice.
  • Manage security relationships with internal teams and third-party suppliers, ensuring services and controls meet organisational standards.
  • Provide technical oversight of infrastructure, cloud and security solutions, supporting vulnerability management and secure-by-design principles.
  • Champion recognised security frameworks including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, CAF and NIST while helping mature the organisation's overall cyber capability.
