Systems Administror with Security Clearance

Position: Linux Systems Administrator Pay Rate: $50–$58/hr Location: San Diego, CA (Point Loma) Duration: 6 month contract-to-hire

Desired Skills and Experience: • Active Secret clearance • One IAT Level II certification: Security+ CE, GSEC, SCNP, or SSCP • 3+ years of experience administering Linux systems (RHEL 9 or later) • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Kickstart) • Experience applying DISA STIGs in secure environments • Ability to remediate vulnerabilities identified through ACAS scans Nice to Have Experience: • Knowledge of ITIL processes or ITIL certification • Experience with the IAVM process • Familiarity with GPU-enabled Linux systems and CUDA environments • Experience working in DoD or other regulated environments Company Overview: Insight Global is a professional services and staffing company that supports organizations across IT, engineering, and government sectors by providing skilled talent and technical solutions.

Position Overview: The Linux Systems Administrator will support secure Red Hat Linux environments, focusing on automation, containerization, and compliance within a classified setting. This role plays a key part in maintaining system integrity, security posture, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain RHEL 9 or later systems in a secure environment.
Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate system and operational processes.
Manage and support containerized workloads using Podman and KVM.
Install and configure CUDA drivers, Protobuf, and ZMQ packages on Red Hat systems.
Utilize GnuRadio and MATLAB to support application and system requirements.
Implement configuration management using Ansible and Kickstart.
Deploy and operate ACAS, Grype, and ClamAV within container environments.
Manage and maintain Network Attached Storage (NAS) solutions.
Identify and remediate vulnerabilities discovered through ACAS scans.
Apply and maintain compliance with DISA STIG requirements.
