The Senior Project Manager will play a critical role in delivering complex customer programs while enabling customers to realize measurable business value from their DLX investments.
Position Summary
Scitara is seeking an experienced, customer-focused, and technology-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead complex DLX implementation and integration programs for global life-sciences customers.
The successful candidate will be accountable for end-to-end project delivery-from initiation, discovery, planning, and solution design through build, validation, deployment, hypercare, and transition to steady-state operations.
This role requires more than traditional project coordination. The Senior Project Manager will function as an engagement leader, delivery orchestrator, customer advocate, and trusted advisor, working across customer stakeholders, Scitara Product Engineering, Solution Architecture, Service Delivery, Validation, Infrastructure, Customer Success, Sales, and partner organizations.
The individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong project and program management expertise, relevant life-sciences or laboratory-domain knowledge, and the ability to understand complex technical integration environments.
The role also requires practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and a demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve project planning, governance, reporting, risk management, decision support, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
The selected candidate must be willing and able to work from a Scitara office in Mumbai or Pune and collaborate with global customers and distributed teams across multiple time zones.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Project and Program Delivery
- Lead enterprise DLX implementation projects from initiation through production deployment, hypercare, project closure, and transition to steady-state support.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans covering scope, milestones, schedules, dependencies, resources, deliverables, risks, assumptions, and customer obligations.
- Manage multiple concurrent customer projects involving laboratory instruments, scientific applications, LIMS, ELN, CDS, SDMS, data platforms, enterprise systems, and third-party technologies.
- Apply Scitara's hybrid implementation methodology, combining structured stage-gate governance with Agile and iterative delivery practices.
- Lead project activities across:
- Initiation and pre-discovery
- Discovery and requirements definition
- Project planning

- Infrastructure and environment readiness
- Connector configuration and development
- Integration build and testing
- Customer acceptance and validation
- Production deployment

2. Customer Engagement and Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary delivery and governance contact for assigned customer engagements.
- Build trusted relationships with customer project sponsors, laboratory leaders, IT teams, scientific stakeholders, quality and validation teams, business process owners, and executive leadership.
- Translate complex technical and scientific delivery information into clear business-oriented communication.
- Facilitate project kick-offs, discovery workshops, planning sessions, governance meetings, steering committee reviews, risk workshops, and executive program updates.
- Communicate project status with clarity, accuracy, transparency, and appropriate executive context.
- Manage customer expectations proactively while maintaining alignment with contractual scope and Scitara's delivery commitments.
- Identify customer concerns, delivery risks, and potential escalations early and establish effective recovery or mitigation plans.
- Facilitate timely resolution of cross-functional issues involving customer teams, Scitara teams, technology vendors, and implementation partners.
- Act as the voice of the customer within Scitara while balancing customer objectives with product capabilities, delivery feasibility, contractual obligations, and organizational priorities.
- Promote strong customer satisfaction and contribute to long-term customer relationships.
9. AI-Enabled Project Management
- Apply Artificial Intelligence and generative AI tools to improve project-management effectiveness, delivery quality, and operational efficiency.
- Use AI responsibly to support activities such as:
- Project-plan development
- Work Breakdown Structure creation
- Meeting preparation and summarization
- Automated meeting minutes
- Action-item extraction and tracking
- RAID identification and analysis
- Risk prediction and early-warning indicators
- Executive status reporting
- Project-health analysis
- Schedule and dependency analysis
- Resource and capacity forecasting
- Requirements analysis
- Document review and summarization
- Lessons-learned analysis

- Customer communication
- Governance-dashboard development
- Demonstrate practical experience with enterprise AI or productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, AI-enabled project-management platforms, workflow automation tools, or equivalent technologies.
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs critically and ensure human validation, data confidentiality, accuracy, traceability, and responsible use.
- Identify opportunities to embed AI into repeatable PMO processes and customer-delivery workflows.
- Support PMO initiatives involving AI-assisted governance, automated reporting, portfolio analytics, and delivery intelligence.
- Demonstrate curiosity and a continuous-learning mindset regarding emerging AI capabilities relevant to project and program management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 10-15 years of overall professional experience.
- Minimum 7-10 years of project or program management experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex enterprise software, SaaS, systems-integration, digital-transformation, laboratory-informatics, or technology implementation projects.
- Proven experience managing customer-facing projects involving global stakeholders and distributed delivery teams.

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and collaboration platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to develop executive-quality project reports, dashboards, governance presentations, and written communications.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, laboratory users, business stakeholders, quality teams, and executive leadership.
- Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, complex dependencies, and high-pressure delivery situations.
- Practical experience using generative AI, enterprise AI assistants, or AI-enabled productivity tools.
