Required Skills

14+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Cloud Data Platform Architecture.

5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.

Deep expertise in:

Snowflake Architecture

SnowSQL

Snowpark

Data Modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault)

Performance Tuning

Data Security & Governance

Strong experience building enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines.

Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, or similar distributed data processing frameworks.

Strong SQL programming skills.

Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, Azure Data Factory, or AWS Glue.

Expertise in data migration from legacy platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Netezza, Hadoop, etc.) to Snowflake.

Experience implementing data quality and data governance frameworks.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization technologies.

Experience with Python, Scala, or Java.

Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Experience with real-time streaming technologies such as Kafka or Spark Streaming.

Understanding of Data Mesh, Lakehouse Architecture, and Modern Data Platform principles.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
