Security Engineer
Introduction:
We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to support and enhance the organization''''s enterprise network and security infrastructure. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining network environments across corporate offices and cloud platforms while ensuring high availability, performance, and cybersecurity compliance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong networking expertise, security operations experience, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, administer, and support Cisco switches, Meraki wireless access points, Palo Alto firewalls, and Arctic Wolf security platform.
- Manage enterprise networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Routing, OSPF, and BGP.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize network availability.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and implement best practices across network, server, endpoint, and cloud environments.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents in collaboration with IT and security teams.
- Support and maintain AWS cloud security, including IAM, Security Groups, VPC security, logging, and governance controls.
- Review and respond to daily Arctic Wolf security alerts and coordinate remediation activities.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute routine network maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.
- Create, maintain, and update network topology diagrams and security documentation for on-premises and cloud environments.
- Implement and support network security technologies including firewalls, VPN/IPSec, segmentation, system hardening, and patch management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable network infrastructure.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in Network Engineering and Network Security.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki, Arctic Wolf, Zscaler, and Proofpoint technologies.
- Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and routing protocols.
- Experience securing enterprise networks, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with AWS networking and security services.
- Experience monitoring network performance, analyzing latency and packet loss, and resolving infrastructure issues.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor''''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as:
- CCNP or CCIE
- PCNSA or PCNSE
- CompTIA Security+
- ISO/IEC 27001 (or related security certifications)
