Application Developer - Appian

A financial services company in North Carolina is seeking an Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain applications on the Appian platform across user interface, database, and process layers.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday


• Hours: Standard business


• Setting: Hybrid (at least 3 days a week onsite)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications on the Appian platform


• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and development solutions


• Build and support front-end and back-end application components, including process models and databases


• Support QA testing, investigate issues, and implement fixes for exceptions


• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems while maintaining documentation for code, processes, and system changes

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Appian or Full Stack Development


• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.


• Strong front-end development skills with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks


• Hands-on experience with SQL Server or other relational databases


• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries


• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs


• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git


• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines


• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines


• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience with SAIL, Records, Integrations, and Web APIs in Appian


• Experience with Flask and Python


• Experience with Kubernetes


• Experience working in investment banking
