Job Description

Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Bielefeld, Germany | Hybrid We're hiring on behalf of a leading European energy infrastructure company. This organization is at the forefront of driving the energy transition, playing a crucial role in building and modernizing substations and ensuring the flow of green energy. The Role • Commission and test electrical equipment for medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations up to 380kV. • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control systems, collaborating with expert teams. • Program and parameterize protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers (Siemens, Schneider, ABB). • Utilize state-of-the-art testing equipment (e.g., OMICROM) for precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology. • Support clients on projects related to energy transmission, distribution, and grid connection for industrial, wind, and solar parks. • Contribute to the development and modernization of substations, driving the green energy future. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering. • Proven experience with protection/control technology and commissioning of switchgear, ideally with knowledge of communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Familiarity with Siemens DIGSI 4/5, Schneider MICOM S1, and OMICROM TestUniverse software is advantageous. • Strong team player with excellent decision-making, communication skills, and a professional demeanor. • Fluent German language proficiency is essential. • Possession of a Class B driver's license and willingness to travel mostly Monday-Thursday is required.
