Job Description

Technical Business Analyst/System Analyst — MarTech (Braze / Snowflake / Paid Media)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support Marketing Technology (MarTech) team of a retail client with more than 400 stores in multiple sites. This is an onsite contract/full-time engagement based in Charlotte, NC.

The Technical Business Analyst will act as the bridge between marketing/business stakeholders and technical teams, translating campaign and customer data requirements into clear technical specifications across Client’s core MarTech ecosystem — including Braze (customer engagement and messaging platform), Snowflake (customer data platform), and paid digital/social advertising channels such as Google Ads and Meta Ads. This role requires someone equally comfortable in a requirements-gathering workshop with marketing stakeholders and in a technical discussion with data engineers about schemas, audience syncs, and API integrations.

Required Qualifications

•       5–8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or similar role, including at least 2–3 years focused on MarTech/AdTech ecosystems.

•       Hands-on experience with Braze or a comparable customer engagement platform (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, Adobe Campaign, Responsys).

•       Working knowledge of Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse/CDP (e.g., Segment, Tealium, mParticle), including data modeling concepts.

•       Experience working with paid/social advertising platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager, including audience syncs, conversion tracking, and offline event uploads.

•       Strong SQL skills for data validation, querying, and troubleshooting.

•       Proven experience gathering and documenting business/technical requirements (user stories, BRDs, functional specifications).

•       Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

•       Solid understanding of customer data concepts: identity resolution, segmentation, audience match rates, and data privacy/consent management.

•       Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences and vice versa.

•       Retail or omnichannel retail industry experience strongly preferred.

•       Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
