Location: Bristol (preferred), Southampton may also be considered - 1 day per week onsite, remainder remote
Contract: Initially 6 months, may extend
Rate: £78.70 per hour, umbrella
Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
We are recruiting four Project Security Consultants to support the delivery of high-profile programmes for a defence client.
This role is ideal for security professionals with experience in security governance, risk management and compliance who can work closely with project teams and technical stakeholders to ensure security requirements are implemented, evidenced and maintained throughout the project life cycle.
Key Responsibilities-
Act as the project security focal point, providing security advice and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.

Identify, assess and manage project security risks, maintaining Security Risk Registers and supporting risk-based decision making.

Produce and maintain Security Management Plans, assurance evidence and other project security documentation.

Support compliance with contractual, regulatory and organisational security requirements.

Coordinate security assurance activities, audits and evidence gathering.

Produce governance reports, dashboards and security updates for senior stakeholders.

Work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure security requirements are understood and implemented.

Promote security best practice across projects and programmes.

Experience in security governance, GRC, information assurance or cyber security consultancy.

Good understanding of security risk management, compliance and assurance.

Experience working with frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.

Experience producing security documentation, including Security Management Plans, Risk Registers or compliance evidence.

Understanding of network and infrastructure security principles, with the ability to engage confidently with technical teams.

Strong stakeholder management, communication and documentation skills.

Active SC Clearance.

Security certifications such as Security+, Network+, CRISC, CISSP, CISM or equivalent.

Experience working within large, complex or regulated environments.
