Job Description

Position: End User Computing/Systems Administrator 
Location: St. Louis, MO - 5x a week onsite
Duration:  12 Months

Position Overview:

This role supports all aspects of end user hardware and print systems, including end user support, fleet health and management, and next generation device evaluation, integration, and deployment. The Engineer also maintains and enhances internally developed print and fax systems while driving improvements to end user experience and operational efficiency.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with evaluation, integration, and support of end user hardware solutions including desktops, laptops, monitors, and related devices.
  • Independently design, configure, install, and maintain complex infrastructure components.
  • Plan and execute initiatives to improve operational efficiencies through automation and enhancement of the end user experience.
  • Assist with technical development and mentoring of team members.
  • Debug and correct complex internal and external infrastructure problems.
  • Conduct peer walkthroughs to ensure quality of designs and implementations.
  • Provide all levels of support for assigned systems, including rotating on call coverage and monitoring of system logs and messages.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Create and modify documentation across multiple systems and functional areas.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience supporting end user hardware and software in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience developing, testing, and deploying software packages in a Windows desktop environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows scripting languages including VB Script and PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of Perl, Python, SQL, and Java preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise class software distribution tools with SCCM preferred.
  • Experience supporting browser technologies including Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
  • Experience troubleshooting using tools such as Windows Error Reporting, Procmon, and Wireshark.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and mentor team members.
  • Understanding of infrastructure architecture including networks, operating systems, and productivity tools, with the ability to provide input on business and technical impact.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Management Information Systems preferred or equivalent related experience.
