Senior Oracle Functional QA Engineer (SCM )

Location: Fremont, CA -  Hybrid - 3 WFO (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) 

 

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Oracle Functional QA Engineer with strong experience in Functional Testing, Oracle Fusion Applications, and Agile delivery. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing Oracle SCM modules and be capable of independently driving test planning, execution, defect management, and stakeholder collaboration.

Candidates should possess solid QA fundamentals, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to quality assurance. Experience in test automation using Selenium or similar automation tools is highly preferred. Exposure to AI-powered testing approaches and modern QA practices will be an added advantage.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Understand business requirements, process flows, and Oracle Fusion application functionality to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
2. Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing across Oracle Fusion applications.
3. Validate business workflows spanning multiple Oracle modules and integrated applications.
4. Identify, document, track, and validate defects through closure.
5. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
6. Work closely with AM, Engg, Product owners, and Oracle SMEs to ensure product quality.
7. Analyze Oracle release notes, identify affected business areas, and develop risk-based regression testing strategies.
8. Execute pre-release and post-release validation testing.
9. Validate Oracle Fusion integrations, interfaces, reports, workflows, and customizations following Oracle patches and quarterly updates.
10. Execute exploratory testing and proactively identify process and system risks.
11. Contribute to automation testing initiatives using Selenium or equivalent tools wherever applicable.
12. Support continuous improvement initiatives in QA processes, frameworks, and testing methodologies.
13. Stay updated on emerging testing technologies, AI-driven testing approaches, and Oracle Cloud innovations.

 

Mandatory Domain Expertise

Hands-on testing experience in one or more of the following Oracle Fusion SCM modules:

• Order Management (OM)
• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
• Supply Chain Planning
• Supply Chain Orchestration
• Global Order Promising (GOP)
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Purchase Order Lifecycle
• Inventory Management
• Procurement

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. 6+ years of experience in Functional Testing and Quality Assurance.
2. Strong experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications testing.
3. Mandatory experience in Oracle SCM modules.
4. Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and enterprise ERP workflows.
5. Experience testing web-based and enterprise business applications.
6. Experience performing Oracle Fusion quarterly release testing, patch validation, and impact assessment.
7. Strong knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and defect lifecycle management.
8. Mandatory experience in Oracle Fusion integration testing involving external applications, APIs, middleware, interfaces, and enterprise systems.
9. Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
10. AI awareness and understanding of AI-powered applications and tools (Mandatory).
11. Validate end-to-end business processes across Oracle Fusion and integrated enterprise applications.
12. Perform integration testing involving Oracle Fusion, third-party applications, middleware platforms, APIs, downstream reporting systems, and enterprise data flows.
13. Verify data synchronization, interface validation, batch processing, and transaction integrity across interconnected systems.
14. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
15. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
16. Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
17. Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and business processes (Mandatory).

 

Preferred Skills

1. Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent automation tools.
2. Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
3. Experience with API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
4. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
5. Experience testing Oracle Cloud integrations and interfaces.
6. Experience testing AI-enabled or GenAI-powered applications.
7. Exposure to Agentic AI testing concepts and approaches.
8. Knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques.
