Job Description

Technical Writer | Chula Vista, CA, United States | Hybrid We're hiring on behalf of a leading professional services firm that works closely with government clients, dedicated to making a tangible impact on national security initiatives. This employer is known for fostering a culture of continuous growth and providing comprehensive resources to support their team's success on mission-critical projects. The Role: • Develop, revise, and manage highly regulated military training documentation for a Navy program office. • Translate complex technical specifications into standardized Navy instructional materials and high-level strategic plans. • Ensure program goals are met and quality standards are upheld through clear communication and effective documentation. • Support the training of Sailors on Navy training systems and C4I capabilities. • Author or edit Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DoN) training documentation. • Update program training materials and media, including standard NAVEDTRA and ILE products. What You'll Need: • Experience developing and editing Navy technical manuals for Fleet Systems. • Familiarity with military communications equipment. • Knowledge of Navy training policy (OPNAVINST 1500.76 series) and curriculum development (NAVEDTRA 130 series). • Experience with Navy manpower and training databases (e.g., HARPS, CMATT). • Ability to distill complex communications engineering data into clear, concise instructions. • A Bachelor's degree in business or communications. • A Secret security clearance is required.
