Fleet Support Engineer | San Francisco, CA | Hybrid

We're hiring for a leader in autonomous vehicle technology and transportation solutions, known for its cutting-edge innovation and commitment to advancing the future of mobility. This organization is seeking a skilled Fleet Support Engineer to join their dynamic Vehicle Development department, focusing on ensuring operational uptime and fleet reliability.

The Role

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time escalations related to sensor issues within the fleet.
  • Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis by reviewing logs to identify and resolve fleet problems.
  • Develop, update, and maintain troubleshooting guides for technicians, incorporating new fault diagnoses and solutions.
  • Perform hardware bring-up and validation procedures for new sensor components (e.g., LiDAR, radar, cameras).
  • Design diagnostic procedures to improve troubleshooting efficiency, focusing on sensor calibration and data integrity.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicle sectors, with a focus on perception systems and sensors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with low/high voltage circuits, UDS, and safe troubleshooting practices.
  • Understanding of hardware and software system architecture supporting operational environments.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and connector pinouts effectively.
