Technical Experience
  • 5+ years of SharePoint Online administration and migration experience.
  • 3+ years supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration workloads.
  • Experience executing tenant-to-tenant SharePoint Online migrations during M&A integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with ShareGate
  • Experience migrating:
    • SharePoint Online sites
    • Microsoft Teams-connected sites
    • OneDrive content
  • Permissions and sharing configurations
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint site architecture.
 
Microsoft 365 Expertise
  • Deep knowledge of:
    • SharePoint Online
    • Microsoft Teams
    • OneDrive for Business
    • Entra ID (Azure AD)
    • Microsoft 365 Groups
 
Experience with:
  • Cross-tenant collaboration
  • External sharing controls
  • Guest access governance
  • SharePoint site lifecycle management
  • Migration Planning & Assessment
  • Ability to:
  • Perform source tenant discovery and assessments.
  • Analyze site inventories and data volumes.
  • Develop migration wave plans.
  • Create site mappings and target-state designs.
  • Identify unsupported customizations and remediation requirements.
 
Governance & Security
Experience evaluating:
  • Guest-user access
  • External sharing policies
  • Data retention requirements
  • Compliance and legal-hold considerations
  • Familiarity with security reviews for external collaboration scenarios.
 
PowerShell & Automation
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Ability to automate:
  • Site inventory collection
  • Permission reporting
  • Migration validation
  • Post-cutover administration
  • Experience using Microsoft Graph or PnP PowerShell preferred.
  • Testing & Validation
  • Experience with:
  • UAT planning and execution
  • Pre-migration validation
  • Delta synchronization validation
  • Post-migration reconciliation
 
Hypercare support
  • Project & Stakeholder Skills
  • Experience working in M&A or divestiture programs.
  • Ability to engage:
    • Business site owners
    • Security teams
    • Project managers
    • Communications/change management teams
 
Experience creating:
  • Migration runbooks
  • Risk logs
  • Cutover plans
