Description

SAIC seeks a Mission Engineer to join the GMASS Test & Evaluation team maintaining the UEWR and PARCS Ground Based Radars for the United States Space Force in Colorado Springs, Colorado. These systems track satellites and missiles in support of national security and space domain awareness. The engineer will work both independently and with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate system performance, support system upgrades, and analyze mission-impacting deficiencies.

Job Duties
  • Evaluate system performance by monitoring Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs), and analyze system requirements to assess operational behavior using modeling and simulation tools.
  • Support Verification and Validation (V&V) of system updates, upgrades, and new implementations for operational integrity and requirements compliance.
  • Maintain and enhance standard analysis tools in MATLAB and Python to support development teams with data and impact analyses.
  • Perform data aggregation, root cause analysis, and mission impact analysis for reported system deficiencies, then implement solutions.
  • Present and document analysis results, corrective actions, and improvement recommendations to development teams and government customers.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 3+ years of experience working with radar systems, satellite tracking, missile defense, or related domains.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB and Python for data analysis and tool development.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on complex engineering systems.

Desired
  • Experience with missile defense systems and satellite tracking operations.
  • Experience with modeling, simulation, and mission analysis techniques and tools.
  • Knowledge of radar system architectures.


Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
