Azure Technical Lead

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Azure Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Apache Kafka, .NET, and React, along with proven technical leadership experience. This role requires close collaboration with Project Managers, Business Analysts, architects, and development teams to ensure successful project delivery and high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Develop and maintain backend services using .NET/.NET Core and frontend applications using React.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Review technical designs, code quality, and architecture to ensure adherence to best practices and organizational standards.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Drive application performance optimization, scalability, and security best practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical planning, and sprint ceremonies.
• Mentor developers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical coaching.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining high quality standards.
• Stay updated with emerging Azure technologies and recommend improvements to existing solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12 years of experience in software development, with at least 2–3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, Azure DevOps, and Azure Monitor.
• Solid experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven and messaging solutions.
• Strong development experience with C#, .NET/.NET Core, and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience designing microservices and cloud-native architectures.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Experience with Git and modern version control practices.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor''''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Microsoft Azure Certifications (Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent) are preferred.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS) is an advantage.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep) is desirable.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Application Insights, Log Analytics, or Grafana is a plus.
