Job Description

HR Assistant Rainham Part-time 20 hours Pro Rata £15k - £17.5k

One to One Personnel are seeking a proactive and well-organised HR Assistant to support our clients day to day HR operations within a busy but small working environment.

This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in HR processes.

Working closely with the HR team, you will assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, payroll support and general HR queries, ensuring a smooth and professional service for all staff.

Please note to be considered for this position you will need to be CIPD qualified.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the recruitment process by posting job adverts, screening CVs and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct HR checks for blue-collar employees.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR databases.
  • Assist with onboarding, including preparing documentation, orientation materials and initial training.
  • Provide support with payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Help coordinate employee training and development activities.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies, procedures and benefits.
  • Assist in preparing HR reports, documentation and presentations.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • You will be CIPD qualified or have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Previous HR or administrative experience is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.

The Package

  • (20 hours per week) ideally 10:00am - 2:00pm Monday to Friday
  • Salary range: £15,000 - £17,500 annually depending on experience
  • Onsite parking available and close to public transport
  • 25 days + Bank Holidays (pro rata) (5 days to be saved for Christmas shutdown)
